Nancy Pelosi Invokes Name of Jesus

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The leftists are reading the tea leaves, and the writing on the wall is that their hard left liberalism is a losing recipe for the election in November, and possibly in 2012 too.

What to do? What to do?

Democrats don't think about principles or issues. They would rather play games of bribery and filthy politics. Just ask Nebraska and Louisiana in relation to the health care vote. Just ask Sestak for the upcoming election.

Dirty politics, however, will not be enough for the Democrats to save themselves from a blood bath in November, so as Obama did during his great lie, eh, I mean presidential campaign, the Democrats are now ready to start acting like they are in line with what conservatives want, even if it is an act.

Nancy Pelosi has decided the group to appeal to is Christians. In fact, she refers to the Trinity (Jesus as the Word) at a recent event. Problem is, her actions make what she says sound dang-near sacrilegious. Think about it. She is invoking the name of Christ, yet she is a pro-abortion politician that has a voting record repeatedly upholding partial-birth abortion. She has also voted against parental notification when minor children seek abortion, and has shown no concern for the rights of the innocent unborn. She believes the government should steal from the rich and keep the poor in poverty, and she has consistently opposed the death penalty. In 1998, she opposed a constitutional amendment to permit school prayer in the classroom. In 1999, she opposed allowing state and local governments to display the Ten Commandments on public property, including schools.

Sound like a woman that has a relationship with Jesus Christ?

It doesn't to me, either.

Pelosi's actions do not match her words, and her claim of faith does not match her actions.

Unfortunately, there will be fools that fall for her sacrilegious charade.
