I spent the evening in a candidate forum where citizens had the first opportunity to pose questions to all of the candidates for Murrieta City Council. Seven of the eight candidates attended. The Press Enterprise article about it begins:
Rural concerns dominated a Murrieta City Council candidate forum Monday, where three incumbents and four challengers pledged to help improve life for residents in the outlying hills of the southwest Riverside County city.
The event was organized by Citizens for Quality of Life in Murrieta, which grew out of the dissatisfaction of some homeowners in the rural Los Alamos hills of eastern Murrieta.
Much of the forum was spent on issues dear to those in the hills, including the poor roads and lack of water and sewer infrastructure in rural areas.
