New Teen Christian Gives Store Owner $200 To Make Up For Years of Stealing

By Douglas V. Gibbs

When one accepts the Lord, we become a new creature. A part of salvation is repentance, which is the literal "turning away" from one's sinful nature. In the case of a teenager in Elk Grove, California, repentance to him required redemption, so he walked into a store and handed the store owner an envelope with $200, and a note, inside. The note said the cash was to make up for years of stealing.

The teen also left a letter explaining that he’s now a Christian and wants to clear his conscience.

The store owner says he has no plans to pursue charges against the teen.
