Belarus Blast Kills 11

By Douglas V. Gibbs

A subway explosion in Minsk, Belarus killed eleven, and wounded 126. Though the source at the time was unknown, it is believed that outside forces were behind the explosion.

The explosion hit as passengers stepped off a train at the Oktyabrskaya station. The vicinity of the station to the presidential administration building leads one to believe it may have been a message to the authoritarian leader of the eastern European nation.

With political tensions on the rise, one thing is for sure; this is not going to be the last attack.
