Cal State Tuition Increase Protest Gets Violent

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Despite the angry students protesting, as the State of California goes deeper in debt, the California State University Board voted in another system-wide tuition hike.

A violent confrontation in Long Beach injured three officers, and resulted in four arrests.

I wonder why the democrats aren't upset? They rail against big oil, big insurance, fat cat bankers. . . what about big education?

Oh, yeah, that's right, they won't have a problem with that because the educational system is where they train new liberals.

Fact is, California has been under liberal leadership for a long time, and as a result of liberalism, the State is broke. The tuition hikes were necessary, according to State officials.

Isn't that something? They won't touch entitlement programs like welfare, which basically pays people to stay poor and pays them to refuse to be self-reliant, but schools are always quick to be hit. And it is the welfare programs that are breaking this state.

Meanwhile, people and businesses are leaving this State in droves.

Liberalism fails wherever it is tried.
