Herman Cain Sexual Misconduct Accusations Getting Curiouser and Curiouser

By Douglas V. Gibbs

How many women are accusing Herman Cain of being a Bill Clinton wannabe now? Five?

The latest in Karen Kraushaar. She says she won't do a news conference without the others.

Of course. If you are by yourself you have to endure more scrutiny. Easier to hide the lies in packs.

Then we have Bialek. All of the others are anonymous, right?

Ann Coulter, in her article "David Axelrod's Pattern of Sexual Misbehavior," has made an interesting observation. Herman Cain has worked all over the country in just about any place you can think of, except Chicago. Yet, all of these sexual harassment allegations against Cain emanate from Chicago.

Now, suggestions have been made that the White House is behind these allegations of sexual misconduct. Easy to consider when you think about it. All of the women have something in common: Chicago. Home of Obama, and home of the Obama counselor and advisor David Axelrod.

Rush Limbaugh discussed on his radio program yesterday how suspicions have fallen on Sheila O'Grady, who is close with David Axelrod and went straight from being former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley's chief of staff to president of the Illinois Restaurant Association (IRA), as being the person who dug up Herman Cain's personnel records from the National Restaurant Association (NRA).

"The Daley-controlled IRA works hand-in-glove with the NRA. And strangely enough, Cain's short, three-year tenure at the NRA is evidently the only period in his decades-long career during which he's alleged to have been a sexual predator." Herman Cain is 65 years old and the three years he ran the NRA is the only time he's been accused of being a sexual predator. After O'Grady's name surfaced in connection with the miraculous appearance of Cain's personnel files from the NRA, she issued a Clintonesque denial of any involvement in producing them -- by vigorously denying that she knew Cain when he was at the NRA. And now, after a week of conservative eye-rolling over unspecified, anonymous accusations against Cain, we've suddenly got very specific sexual assault allegations from an all-new accuser out of ... Chicago."

Cain has never lived in Chicago, but Obama's buddy Axelrod has. And Cain's latest accuser, Sharon Bialek, lived in Axelrod's building.

Coincidence?

With liberals there is no such thing as coincidence.

But we can trust Bialek, right? She couldn't be lying, could she? Yet. . . within 24 hours of Bialek's press conference where she voiced her accusations, friends and acquaintances of hers stepped forward to say that she's a 'gold-digger,' that she was constantly in financial trouble, has filed for personal bankruptcy twice, and she has not only lived in Axelrod's apartment building, but she admits she knew the man.

Chicago. The land of Daley and Axelrod, two men who have a history of smearing political opponents by digging up claims of sexual misconduct against them - even if the allegations are completely false (such as in the case of John Brooks, Chicago's former fire commissioner).

That's also how Obama became a U.S. Senator. David Axelrod pulled sealed divorce records against Obama's Democratic primary opponent, and then against Obama's Republican opponent. One month before the 2004 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, Obama was way down in the polls, about to lose to Blair Hull, a multimillionaire securities trader. Then, suddenly, thanks to Axelrod's handy work, won because of the media leaping all over it.

This is what these people do.

The politics of personal destruction, whether the accusations are factual, or not.

Vile.

And interestingly enough, all of these women are out of Chicago.

Doesn't that seem strange to you?

Coincidence?

Oh, yeah, with liberals, there are no coincidences.
