Could cuts to the military be necessary? Perhaps. Bean counters that do the job that somebody else also does could be eliminated for the sake of efficiency. But the cuts to the military proposed by Obama go deeper than that. They dig deep into the heart of our ability to defend our nation. They compromise the might of America.
Peace through Strength is the way to defend this nation. But Obama would rather us be a sitting duck.
When it comes to federal budget cuts needed, especially during this time of incredible spending, and a soaring national debt, the liberal democrat's first target always seems to be the military. They want to throw the soldiers overboard, cutting their budget in the blink of an eye.
He wishes to diminish America, leave us open for the buzzards of the world, defenseless, and weak.
Barack Obama hates this country as it was founded. In other words, he hates the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution limits the federal government, and grants the power to legislate in the hands of the U.S. Congress. Obama believes in a strong executive, unencumbered by the checks and balances of the American System. He is determined to make the Congress irrelevant, and the military impotent. He has told us so.
In Shaker Heights, Ohio he told an audience, "I refuse to take ‘no’ for an answer. When Congress refuses to act and as a result hurts our economy and puts our people at risk, then I have an obligation as president to do what I can without them.”
In other words, it's his way, or no way. When Congress refuses to do what he says, and acts in a manner he thinks hurts the economy, when in reality they are doing what they can to save the economy from his failed policies, he will consider the Congress irrelevant, and do what he aims to do anyway. . . without them.
Such are the words of dictators throughout history.
Could you imagine the outcry if a republican president had said such things?
To become that strong executive in a system where any checks and balances against him are irrelevant, Obama must destroy anything that may serve as opposition. . . and that includes the United States Military.
The banks must be made to serve the federal government, the private industries must fall under the intense regulations by the government under Obama's control, and the military must be made weak and loyal. . . by introducing a new group of those serving that owe their allowance to serve to Obama (don't ask don't tell repeal?). It makes it easier to use the new National Defense Authorization Act to detain millions of Americans that dare to disagree with him, that way.
Left unchecked, Obama is doing all he can do to destroy America as it was founded, ignoring Congress, and ignoring court decisions that don't go his way.
The only weapon left is the voice of the States (nullification, Article V. Convention) and the people.
The Founding Fathers gave us the 2nd Amendment for a reason.
