Ron Paul Attracts Truthers Because He "IS" a Truther

Truther: Noun - One who rejects the accepted explanation of the events of 9/11. Truthers generally believe the U.S. government committed the acts of terrorism against itself. Urban Dictionary

One of the reasons why Ron Paul has failed to gain the support of conservatives in his Republican Party runs for President of the United States is because though he seems to be right about the Constitution a majority of the time, his National Security stance, and some of his other beliefs, are just downright nutty.  Accepting stimulus funds for Texas projects probably doesn't help either.

Truthers flock to Ron Paul like moths to a light.  When Jake Tapper asked Ron Paul directly if he believed the conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11, Ron Paul said, "No."

Ron Paul has not been completely honest.

Ron Paul, according to YID with LID, believes President Bush was one of the players of 9/11, or at worst, knew of the terrorist attack prior to it happening.

Usually, when Truthers lay this crap into me, I ask a question. I ask them, "Do you think Bush is one of the biggest idiots ever to hold the office of the presidency?" Usually, their response is something like, "One of the biggest idiots? Are you kidding? He is the biggest idiot every to live in the White House."

That answer, or something like it, always makes me grin, because it sets up what I will say next.

"So," I respond, "you will have me believe that the biggest idiot ever to lead this country carried out the largest conspiracy against the United States in history, it went perfectly, he got away with it cleanly, and nobody has ever talked?"
