Sarah Palin's Popularity Shines at CPAC
By Douglas V. Gibbs
A few months ago I commented on the popularity of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party. A liberal commenter responded: "new low for tea party approval.. it's in Chimpy territory when he left office. Palin's numbers are also in the shitter, but nobody has even bothered to poll it since last spring, because nobody cares about her anymore."
Of course this liberal based his opinion around the mainstream media's take on it all, a number of polls run by liberal organizations, and based on what he hears in his little, gay, liberal neighborhood somewhere outside Dallas, Texas.
The fact is, if Sarah Palin was to throw her hat in the ring, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that she would take a majority of the remaining delegates, become the nomination, and slaughter Obama in a massive landslide. Why? Because conservatives are the majority, and because the Tea Party is still burning strong.
At CPAC, Sarah Palin was welcomed by a very enthusiastic crowd. They were excited about her presence, and what she represents in the Republican Party.
Sarah, for now, believes she does more for conservatism in the role she is in, and that is why she never decided to run. That said, the next most conservative candidate is Santorum. The question is, however, with his past union support, and lack of executive experience, can he pull it off in the end?

Palin on Obama: WTF: Palin and an adoring audience chanted “USA, USA” at a couple occupiers trying to mic-check her big keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference. This crowd loves her. - Buzz Feed
