After Rejecting Keystone Pipeline, Obama Claims Support For Oklahoma Section To Look Good in an Election Year

Americans for Limited Government's Frank McCaffrey discusses the sudden change of heart the president has towards the southern Keystone pipeline being built in the U.S. in "ALG's One Minute."

"In January, President Obama out rightly rejected the building of the TransCanada Keystone XL pipeline.  Ironically, Obama only controls three inches of the Keystone pipeline — the three inches that cross the US/Canada border. The southern part of the pipeline, from Cushing, Okla., to Port Arthur, Texas, is out of his jurisdiction. And that is exactly the part of the pipeline that is being built. But instead of coming out against this section of pipeline in the U.S., like he did for the entire project, he now claims to support it, and hopes to gain credit for his sudden change of heart on the project.  All ploys aside, this is just another PR stunt by our president to look good in this election year."
