British Government to Ban Skinny Models

Is Banning Skinny Models a Legitimate Function of Government?

Notwithstanding my post comparing stupid government policies in the U.S. and U.K., I thought the Greeks took to prize for most moronic government.

After all, the politicians in that nation think it’s fine and dandy to subsidize pedophiles and collect stool samples as a condition of getting a business license to set up an online company.

But the United Kingdom will reclaim the top spot (or would it be the bottom spot?) if the government follows through on the advice of two nanny-state academics.

    This is insane...

I read in the article how a woman got in trouble for brandishing a knife, in her own home, defending herself! The gov't, by doing this to her, told her, essentially, that she is not allowed to defend her body inside the place where she lives. Why do they think it's called "shelter"? It's so she can be sheltered not just from weather, etc, it's also so that she can go to a place to protect her from other "elements" too.

As for the mention of being in trouble with the law f for hiring people who are competent, well.... when it comes to being competent, libs have their own definition of what that is. They hire the best people who will sue (or is the term litigate?) against the silliest stuff and they are very successful at getting that done...so clearly, at least from their own perspective, you truly need someone who is competent. They thus have another double standard.

I am so tired of the nanny state, liberals who think they know best. So sick of it!

Another thing: They perpetuate the "stereotypes" that exist about them each time they do such stupid stuff. Hateful? No, there's a difference between "hateful" and fed up! But they couldn't see that difference...
