California Primary District 42 - Did TEA Party Vote Split?

Did Eva Johnson and Clay Thibodeau split the TEA Party vote, thus ensuring Ken Calvert's challenger in November to be a Democrat?

In this new world of Open Primaries here in California, the top two vote-getters in the primary go on to fight it ought in November.

Looking at the final tally, it looks like if either Eva Johnson or Clay Thibodeau would have stepped down, the TEA Party vote would have consolidated under one candidate. The split, however, gave neither enough votes, ensuring Calvert's challenger to be a Democrat. A RINO and a Democrat. Seems to be the California way.

My thoughts exactly....My core values and beliefs would not allow me to vote for the other...
