Obama's Amnesty Followed by Turning His Back on Border Security

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The Obama administration sued the State of Arizona, and other States, for daring to try to enforce immigration laws that are currently on the books. The democrats have called the Voter ID Laws, which are designed to fight against voter fraud, racist and the GOP's attempt to affect the vote. The democrats have called for amnesty, free education for illegals, and anything else they can get their hands on to buy the Hispanic vote. As long as we keep the border secured, however, those other issues will eventually be taken care of.

Then again, we have to remember who the President is.

According to Fox News, Obama could care less about securing the border, and in fact has in his plans to close down nine of the existing border stations.

The move, in addition to hurting our efforts against stopping the border crossing of illegal aliens, especially since these border stations targeted for closure are in areas that sees a lot of illegal alien activity, also will hinder our abilities to intercept drug and human traffickers, as well as enable the continuing flow of Islamists crossing the border.

The closing of these stations is just another step in the liberal agenda to systematically dismantle immigration enforcement, which not only breaks immigration laws currently on the books, and places our republic at a disadvantage, but also it is a national security issue since a large percentage of illegal aliens crossing our borders are of Middle Eastern descent. Now, with the absence of these stations, border patrol agents will be dispatched from farther away to try and handle their duties.

The action of closing the border stations by the federal government follows the Obama administration's announcement that the federal government will stop deporting young illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children and have not committed a serious crime, and after federal officials said ICE would be selective in responding to calls about immigration status by Arizona law enforcement in their attempt to verify the status of apprehended aliens.

In the end, these closures will result in even more illegal aliens crossing into this country, and the rule of law breaking down even further.
