Detroit, After Decades of Liberal Leadership, Too Dangerous To Enter

Detroit, Michigan is a prime example of the damage that liberalism causes.  After decades of liberal control, Detroit has lost a large part of her population (over one million people have fled the city), the schools are failing, the city can't pay its bills, some parts of neighborhoods have gone dark, abandoned properties represent one-fifth of the housing units (many have been destroyed), poverty is rampant, and the misery of the remaining residents is at an all time high.

Detroit is the single best argument a person can have to convince someone that liberalism fails.

Yet, even as destruction continues to run its course, the labor unions are fighting against any reform.

In order to keep their power, they are willing to destroy a city, and a nation.

As the new Republican Governor works to change things for the better with Governor Walker and Governor Christie style reforms, the liberal left element and unions are fighting back with Wisconsin-like protests.

Detroit has gotten so bad that Detroit's law enforcement is now saying the city is too dangerous to enter.

Detroit Police Officer Association (DPOA) Attorney Donato Iorio said officers are holding the “Enter At Your Own Risk” rally at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in front of Comerica Park to remind the public that the officers are overworked, understaffed, and at times, fearful for their lives.

“Detroit is America’s most violent city, its homicide rate is the highest in the country and yet the Detroit Police Department is grossly understaffed,” Iorio told WWJ’s Kathryn Larson. “The DPOA believes that there is a war in Detroit, but there should be a war on crime, not a war on its officers.”

To make matters worse, since the start of summer, hundreds of officers have left the department.

“The explosion in violent crime, the incredible spike in the number of homicides and for officers trying to work 12 hours in such deplorable, dangerous and war like conditions is simple untenable.”

Liberalism caused the problem, and now the liberals are fighting against the solution.

It shows you the power that liberalism has on the weak minded, the power hungry, and those that believe in government control over individualism.
