Republican Party Can't Seem to Abide By Its Promises

The GOP has promised no tax hikes, but the bad fiscal cliff deal revealed the republicans that voted for it to be liars.

Steele's Competitive Bidding Resolution Was Ignored atRNC in 2011-2012 Election Cycle

In July 2009, after Michael Steele took over as chair of the Republican National Committee, the 168 members of the RNC passed a "Resolution in Support of Good Governance" that required the chair to conduct competitive bids for all contracts that exceeded $100,000 in value.

Steele apparently observed the resolution. Current RNC chair Reince Priebus appears to be ignoring it.
