Last Tuesday I posted a quick reminder to rally the troops about a city council meeting in Menifee over the underground bunker issue. Those of you that are regular readers of Political Pistachio did not need an explanation, because the issue has been visited a number of times on this site. The post simply read:
Citizens To Confront Menifee City Council on Underground Bunker Issue
Tonight is the night to hammer on the Menifee City Council for their disregard for property rights. Join us at City Hall in Menifee at 7:00 pm at 29714 Haun Rd., Menifee, CA 92586.
A commenter, leaving their comment as "anonymous", wrote:
who is "us" and what did the City do to violate your property rights? Its difficult to join your cause with zero info.....
The person who left the comment is not a regular, and that is obvious because they asked how the city violated my rights. It was the rights of Bernie Jones, a property owner in Menifee, who hired Protective Bunkers to put in an underground bunker, and the city council said no for no particular reason other than they don't think he needs it.
How is us? Anyone who was planning on being there.
I am not angry at the drive-by commenter, but as a visitor to this site, understand that you can't just read one post and think you have the full context, just like you can't listen to one sentence on my radio program and think you understand who and what I am. Spend some time, do a little research, and then feel free to join the conversation. Drive-by commenting is simply a disruption, and often a tool of distraction used by statists.
