NSA Chief: To Increase Security Replace People With Machines

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Security Agency director General Keith Alexander is defending controversial programs disclosed by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, saying thsy the NSA's strategy and to prevent future leaks is to reduce the number human positions and instead rely on machine to transfer secure data.

Without a hard paper trail, and as many eyes to watch for wrongdoing, this opens up the opportunity for federal tyranny in ways that only science fiction and conspiracy writers have dreamed of before.

This is dangerous stuff, my friends.
