O can fund ObamaCare implementation without Congress - not legally, but the law has never been an obstacle to him before, and sure as hell wouldn't be now, especially with his namesake hanging in the balance. And within Congress, if the GOP stands fast and forces a government shutdown - which every poll I've seen indicates would be far more unpopular than O-Care itself - they'll get destroyed in next year's midterm elections (as if that actually matters with a dictator in the White House).
Of course, if the GOP caves, their own so-called supporters will destroy them, saving Red Barry and the Dems the trouble. So since, either way, the GOP is going to be destroyed, why not go out with a bang? What's that Klingon battle cry? DaHjaj 'oH QaQ jaj Daq Hegh!
And let's not be too conclusive about the fallout from a shutdown showdown. Remember Sequestergeddon? That didn't turn out so badly, now did it?
