Rand Paul *Almost* Gets It

by JASmius

Only one more dot to connect:

On Hannity, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke out against taking military action in Syria. Earlier today during the Senate hearing, he pressed Secretary of State John Kerry on the clear objective is for the United States.

Senator Paul told Sean Hannity that he doesn't believe there's a good outcome if the U.S. bombs Syria. Furthermore, he said there is no clear friend for the U.S. within the rebels.

"I want to be proud of the President, there haven't been many times. I wanted to be proud that he was asking for congressional authority. And I was for about a minute until I heard him say 'oh, but, it's just a fake vote. If you vote against me I'll still bomb Syria because I have all the authority I need.' That troubles me..." Paul said.

He criticized the resolution put forth by the Congress because it restricts the power of the president to execute the war. "So while I think the president is limited on initiating the war, I think the president has most, if not all, of the power on how to execute the war."

You don't have to worry, Senator; O will ignore any such restrictions if doing so suits his purposes - as he will comply if it does the same.  And that purpose is to deliver Syria into the hands of al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood and blame any and all retaliatory losses we and whatever allies we have left other than AQ and the MB on you and your co-partisans.  It's like Rand is almost aware of how the GOP is being manipulated and set up.

It's a pity Mr. Gibbs isn't contemplating a senate run instead.
