3-Year-Old Among 13 Victims Caught In Chicago Crossfire....

Ace has a great rant on the media embargo of black-on-black violence.  A taste:

It's very strange that the media just completely ignores a mass shooting event....I can only assume the perpetrator and the victims were both black. Because the media simply will not report on crime committed by blacks, or even committed against blacks (unless the perpetrator is white or at least a "White Hispanic").

This is a very weird effect of PC -- for years they embargoed stories about blacks committing crimes, ostensibly because Media You Guys helped perpetrate negative attitudes about blacks. 

But it also has this bizarre side-effect: You have a bunch of victims here, who, were they white (or of differing races) would be America's Top Story. But because they're black, the media just shrugs and says "Meh."

So a rule imposed ostensibly to "help" blacks winds up also imposing a code of silence about blacks being victimized by crime and tragedy.

Since there wasn't a race angle to push, and Red Barry and DiFi trying to revive the gun control crusade off of the still-twitching corpses of the twelve victims of Aaron Alexis on Monday has succeeded in making the issue even less popular than it was before, when two Colorado state senators were recalled just a ten days ago, there was and is no reason for the Obamedia to push this even bigger Chicago massacre, and every reason to embargo it.

If it doesn't advance The Narrative, it never happened.  And, I suppose, those thirteen victims, including that 3-year-old who was shot through the head and is in critical condition, never existed.

But they care, they care!  Never doubt that.  The press is always in need of....props.
