Nuclear Option Tyranny

What is the extent of the power grab through this current nuclear option?  Does it simply mean that minority senators will be unable to filibuster majority/executive branch judicial nominations?  Or does it mean basically "anything goes?" Ie, can this be used (in its current form) to ratify foreign treaties with content such as more or total gun control?  Is this a 100% stamp of approval on each and every piece of the Ovomit Agenda?  And how could they pass such a radical option with a simple majority vote?

My answer:

Does not affect legislation. But, enables only a simple majority for nominations. This will allow Obama to stack the courts moreso than already, which would eventually render Congress powerless, and therefore eliminates all opposition.  Typical leftist power grab. The problem is not only are the Republicans doing nothing about it, but they are blaming conservatives and the TEA Party.  We are mere steps away from becoming a full throttle totalitarian dictatorship.  Yet, there are still people out there saying we need to pick our battles carefully and play the political game. That "establishment" strategy is what got us to this point. We need to be supporting people like Ted Cruz and hammering these statists constantly.  Hit hard, hit often, and don't let up. The GOP needs to treat this administration like the hostile tyranny that it is, and quit sticking their heads in the sand.
