Nine Year Old Girl Suspended From School For Act Of Kindness

by JASmius

Well, not exactly:

Cameron Renfro wasn't suspended for offering moral support to her best friend, the cancer-stricken Delanie Cleamons; she was suspended doing so by shaving her head so that her friend wouldn't feel self-conscious, which also happens to be technically against her charter school's dress code.

Beats me why Mr. & Mrs. Renfro couldn't have worked this out with the school beforehand, or why the school just robotically suspended Cameron rather than contact her parents after she showed up Lex Luther-ized.  Clearly the problem here was an absence of communication, as once the motivations were mutually understood school officials weren't obstinate about the suspension.

I suspect the reason ABCCCP publicized this story is to do their part to discredit even public charter schools as an alternative to undiluted socialized education.  If "Common Core" is on "final countdown," clearly no corner of the Left is going to leave any propaganda opportunity unexploited.
