Democrat District Attorney: Bribery Laws Are Only For White People

By Douglas V. Gibbs

New Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, in 2013, rejected a major bribery investigation, shutting it down, and disregarding the massive evidence collected that a proved bribery charge, after a three year undercover sting operation catching Philadelphia Democrats accepting money.

Thanks to Kane, no one was charged with a crime.

In a statement to The Inquirer on Friday, Kane called the investigation poorly conceived, badly managed, and tainted by racism, saying it had targeted African Americans.

Even though the investigation compiled evidence, in the form of hundreds of hours of recordings, that several Democrats were on the take for the sake of opposing voter ID, Kane decided it was not worth pursuing because the Democrats are black, therefore, the investigation was the result of racism.

In other words, according to Kane, anti-corruption laws are only there to stop white people.

Prosecutors amassed 400 hours of audio and videotape that documented at least four city Democrats taking payments in cash or money orders, and in one case a $2,000 Tiffany bracelet.

Not just one time payments, but multiple payments, and in some cases, the payments were offered in exchange for votes or contracts.

Sources with knowledge of the sting said the investigation made financial pitches to both Republicans and Democrats, but only Democrats accepted the payments.

When asked about those challenging her decisio to shut down the investigationn, Kane provided (through her office), “nothing more than the Good Ol’ Boys club playing political games to discredit me in order to fulfill their own selfish and improper agenda.”

Yet, Eric Holder has brought his Justice Department to bear against Republicans who stand accused of accepting illegal gifts. Specifically, Holder is going after former VA Gov. Bob McDonnell.

He deserves it, apparently, because he is white, and republican.
