Benghazi Bombshell Exploding In Obama's Face

By Douglas V. Gibbs

On September 11, 2012, the eleventh anniversary of the September 11 attacks against the United States of America in 2001, at a United States facility in Benghazi, Libya, an American ambassador, Christopher Stevens, and three other Americans, were slaughtered by Islamists in a pre-planned terror attack against the compound.

In less than two months, the 2012 Presidential Election was approaching, and to protect President Obama's ability to be reelected, to protect the Democrat Party's narrative that the war on terror had been won and al-Qaeda was no longer strong enough to attack American interests, and to cover-up the presence of American personnel involved in a gun-running operation by the federal government to the Syrian rebels, and other jihadist groups, the Obama administration lied about the details of the attack in Benghazi.  The seriousness and enormity of the attack, the premeditation of the attack, and the involvement of terrorist groups in the organization of the attack, was downplayed by the White House, and the Obama minions lied about the cause, initially claiming the Benghazi attack was provoked by an anti-Islam video, previously viewed on YouTube, before the democrats used it as their evidence, only a few times.

The GOP claimed it was expected that several U.S.embassies would be under assault on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.  It happens every year.  However, true to their "the war on terror is over" narrative, the White House declared they had no reason to believe an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi would happen.  However, violence did erupt, and after the White House refused to increase security, and after the White House refused to send in assistance once the violence commenced, four Americans were killed, with Ambassador Stevens' having been reportedly raped before he was killed, and his body paraded through the streets.

On September 16, 2012 Ambassador Susan Rice, on five major Sunday morning talk shows, pushed the Obama administration's spin, claiming the attack was due to the anti-Islam video.  In other words, she told America that the blood of four Americans was on the hands of someone who dared to oppose Allah, and the false prophet, Muhammad.  On ABC's "This Week," she claimed the attack was “a spontaneous – not a premeditated – response to what had transpired in Cairo.”  The Cairo reference was to an Egyptian demonstration in which a mob breached the embassy compound wall and tore down an American flag.

Through investigations, it has been found that the attackers had ties to al-Qaeda.  A hearing by the republican dominated House of Representatives on September 10, 2012 revealed that Ambassador Stevens and others wished additional security for the consulate, but were turned down.

While in testimony before Congress on January the 23, 2013, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, after being asked why the Obama administration deliberately put out false information about the attack just prior to the Presidential Election of 2012, Clinton screamed at Senators, "WHAT DIFFERENCE AT THIS POINT DOES IT MAKE?".

The Obama Administration team and minions are calling the GOP's search for the truth regarding Benghazi a "head-hunt."  The mainstream media has been complicit in doing what it can to steer everyone away from the issue.  The republicans, however, have continued to push on this issue, using the tools available to them to shed light on the liberal left's cover-up of their purposeful negligence, and unseen gun-running dealings, that led to the death of four Americans at the hands of Muslims in Libya in 2012.

A Freedom of Information Act request from Judicial Watch has revealed that emails between Obama's cronies following the Benghazi attacks show that the democrats surrounding President Obama performed an all-out effort to protect the president.  The staff "attempted to insulate [the] president’s policies from criticism ahead of election."  President Obama was nowhere to be found during the attack on Americans in Benghazi.  He handed it off. He wanted nothing to do with it. It was of no concern to him. One of the emails includes an overview of suggestions for Susan Rice for her appearance on the Sunday news shows two days after the attack.

One suggestion in the email was: "To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy."

White House press secretary Jay Carney has said the September 14, 2012 email was "explicitly not about Benghazi," and noted that a series of protests over the video had occurred in Cairo, Egypt and other locations.

The emails revealed by Judicial Watch confirm the White House staff redid the talking points, and lied to protect the president. They manipulated every piece of information they could to protect Obama.  They lied, they denied, and they wanted you to think that Obama had no clue what was going on because he was handling more important matters.

The attack screamed in the face of the narrative that we are loved internationally now because we have Obama as president, and have been kissing Islam's butt, and the White House was concerned because the attacks in Benghazi brought Americans way too close to what was really going on, including illegal activity by the Obama administration in the region regarding the gun-running operation.

Obama, and his thugs, lied about the death of four Americans to protect their failed narrative, to protect their ruler-in-chief's campaign for reelection, and to hide the fact that the American government was acting in an illegal manner on foreign shores.  Their response is that any inquiry into Benghazi is a head-hunt, that the issue doesn't matter, and that the GOP's push for the truth is somehow seditious.  We are not supposed to question the ruling elite if they are liberal democrats, apparently.  We are supposed to shut-up, and let the tyrants do as they please.

All of this has been going on, while the same federal government uses the IRS to punish dissent by targeting political opponents, and while the liberal left in general uses political correctness and charges of racism and bigotry to silence all opposition by instilling fear in people regarding how they talk, what they say, and what they write.

The lawless democrats have refused to comply with subpoenas, and the republicans are angry that the emails revealed by Judicial Watch are only now surfacing. In response, Secretary of State John Kerry is now being summoned before the House to testify.

“Compliance with a subpoena for documents is not a game. Because your Department is failing to meet its legal obligations, I am issuing a new subpoena to compel you to appear before the Committee to answer questions about your agency’s response to the congressional investigation of the Benghazi attack," House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said in a May 2 letter to Kerry.

Regarding the Obama administration's failure to provide the documents before now, Issa warns Kerry, "such contempt of Congress may constitute a criminal offense."

House Speaker John Boehner called on Kerry to testify before the House to explain why the documents weren't provided earlier.

“The House used its subpoena power to obtain documents, including emails, last year, but these emails didn’t show up until now, after a court ordered their release to an outside watchdog group,” Boehner said.

“This defiance of the House’s subpoena power is the most flagrant example yet of the administration's contempt for the American people’s right to know the truth about what happened when four Americans died in a fiery terrorist attack. If the White House won’t explain it, Secretary Kerry should come to the Capitol to explain why he defied an official congressional subpoena. And the White House needs to understand that this investigation will not end until the entire truth is revealed and justice and accountability are served,” Boehner added.

“The email from Ben Rhodes demonstrates the Obama administration from the beginning misled Congress, the media and most importantly, the American people,” Majority Leader Eric Cantor said. “It is increasingly clear that this administration orchestrated an effort to deflect attention away from their failed Libya policy and the resurgence of Al Qaeda and other terrorists.”

Ben Rhodes, who the email in question was from, was the Senior White House adviser who coordinated the effort to obfuscate the truth behind the 2012 terror attacks in Benghazi, and it turns out he is the brother of David Rhodes, president of CBS News.

Which goes back to what I said about the media begin complicit in the Benghazi cover-up.

The Conservative Right has been calling the mainstream media biased for a long time, but now it seems to be surfacing that the incestuous relationship between the democrats in government, and the liberal media, goes even deeper than originally understood.  Could it be that, thanks to the Rhodes brotherhood, reporters have an “unspoken understanding” to report only the news that does not damage Obama's administration, or to keep their hands off of certain politicians, or members of staff in Washington?

Sharyl Attkisson’s recent abandonment of CBS News came with her claiming she was considered a “troublemaker” for continuing to pursue the unanswered questions about the terror attacks and the White House’s efforts to misdirect the American people.

In an interview with Fox News's Bill O'Reilly, Attkisson said, “They really, really liked the story but you start to hear from, you know, other routes that “why don’t you just leave it alone,” “you know, you are kind of a troublemaker because you are still pursuing it.” It kind of goes from hot to cold in one day, sometimes. Where they are asking you to pursue something heavily and then it’s almost as if a light switch goes off and look at you all of the sudden, “Why are you bringing this story?”

The conflict of interest is obvious.

Meanwhile, the brainwashed masses, mainly the younger crowd attending the indoctrination centers called "colleges," have ignored the issue like good little tools, and have obediently continued to instead rail against former President George W. Bush, and anyone associated with him during his administration, attacking the Bush presidency for allegedly doing all of the things the Obama administration is now actually doing.

Former secretary of state Condoleeza Rice faced protests against her after she was invited by the Rutgers University board of governors to speak at the institution's commencement ceremony.  Rice decided not to speak to avoid creating a distraction.

The opposition to Rice speaking focused on her support for the Iraq War and Bush policies in the War on Terror.  Rutgers faculty at the New Brunswick campus approved a resolution calling for Rice to be disinvited, citing her role in the Bush administration’s alleged “effort to mislead the American people about the presence of weapons of mass destruction.”

Protesting students occupied the office of the president with signs reading “No honors for war criminals” and “War criminals out.”

Benghazi is of no concern to the Rutgers faculty, or students.
