The cover of the latest issue of TIME Magazine shows a premature baby born months early. She's tiny, and in the need of drastic medical care. However, if she had not made the journey through the birth canal, that very same baby's death inside the womb, in a brutal, bloody abortion, would have been acceptable to that very same magazine writer. TIME Magazine, in fact, would then be willing to champion the killing of preemies inside the womb, calling the sacrifice of innocent blood a "right".
The article by Jeffrey Kluger centers around the advances in medicine we have experienced, and how those cutting-edge breakthroughs had helped enable the tiniest of babies survive an early birth, and thrive as persons.
Do they feel the same about a baby inside the womb? What if that mother had decided she wanted an abortion doctor to poison that same child inside her womb, and pull it out limb by limb? Would this still be a feel-good story, then?
I am excited that we have the technology to save babies that may have otherwise died in the cold world outside the womb. Every baby is a blessing, and it is wonderful that we are able to save these precious children from a death that they may have experienced just a few years ago. How beautiful it is that these children have a chance to live, and thrive.
But how can a society be excited about saving babies that are often murdered in the womb at the same age? In the United States, alone, we abort over a million innocent lives per year. According to the TIME Magazine article, 4 million babies survived long enough to be born in 2010, and 478,790 of them were born before 37 weeks gestation (462,408 of those babies survived at least a year. . . how many babies of the same amount of time in the womb survived abortion?).
I congratulate medicine for saving these babies, but it seems kind of hypocritical when we barbarically slaughter more babies while they are still in the womb than those that are born premature, and then call that progress.

Facts About Abortion: U.S. Abortion Statistics
This is a disturbing topic that gets no real traction in the mainstream media. The left employs their usual tactics of re-titling (nobody is really pro-abortion, they're "pro-choice") and vilification. If you dare to speak up in support of life, you "hate women."
