2014 Election: Obamacare Losers

The unconstitutional Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, was on the table during the 2014 Mid-term Elections. Five years ago, the Democrats, with a smidgen of Republicans thrown in, forced Obamacare through, and voters responded by giving the GOP the House of Representatives in the 2010 Mid-Terms.  The failures of Obamacare, which even made the news in the liberally biased media when the website turned out to be a nightmarish joke, has also made an impact on this year's election, catapulting 29 pro-Obamacare Senators out of their seats.

Obamacare is not the only issue that put the Democrats on the hot seat, but it definitely was a contributing factor.  The real question, now, is if the Republicans are willing to do what they can to begin dismantling Obamacare, and are they willing to stand up to President Barack Obama as he continues to expand presidential powers with executive orders used in an unconstitutional manner, and a regulatory team of agencies willing to defy Congress, the Constitution, and the American People?

This is also not to say that every one of those pro-Obamacare Senators were ousted by incoming Republicans.  Some of the pro-Obamacare Senators were replaced by new Democrat Senators.

The number of Democrats that voted for Obamacare could dwindle even more after the December run-off election in Louisiana where Senator Mary Landrieu has been abandoned by the Democrat Party because her chances to win are pretty bad.  Unable to gain a majority vote, despite essentially winning the election because a number of Republicans split the vote last Tuesday among a myriad of GOP candidates on the ballot, in the runoff it will be just two of them, Landrieu versus Bill Cassidy - and there is no doubt Cassidy will get the votes that went to other Republicans, which will push him pass Landrieu, and into the Senate.  That's why any national help from the Democrat Party is not coming.  They are not willing to waste their money on a lost cause.

Barack Obama has already bolted his position into place, however, indicating that he is going to defend Obamacare, and that he is unwilling to budge regarding the individual mandate that allows the federal government to force consumers to buy health insurance.  Obama knows, as does the Republicans, that the individual mandate is the hitch pin that holds Obamacare together.  Without it, the consumers will abandon the monstrosity, and Obamacare will fade into history as yet another failed socialist policy that freedom-loving Americans refused to participate in.
