Garner Grand Jury Decision: Race War, Round 2

By Douglas V. Gibbs

We are not sure if New York City is about to erupt in riots, but there was a contingent of demonstrators that took to the streets in New York to support the Ferguson rioters.  Now, not long after a grand jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson, the white cop who shot to death Michael Brown, a grand jury in Staten Island has decided not indict white New York City Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo in relation to the death of Eric Garner, a man that Pantaleo was seen on video putting in a choke hold last July.

The grand jury's decision means that there will not be criminal charges in the case.,  NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said there may be up to three other investigations into the incident that could lead to civil or federal charges.
