Remember Eric Linsker, aka "Skinhead," aka "The Violent Professor"? It seems that his employer has taken over two weeks to finally notice that he's a leftwing extremist commie-pinko revolutionary, and that his being on their payroll might present a PR problem, so they're punishing him in the only way they're willing to do so:
Queens College President Felix Rodriguez announced that Eric Linsker would be reassigned to “academic support functions in the English department” while he awaits trial.
Wow. Just, wow. Man, President Rodriguez sure is a hardass martinet. How harsh can you get?
“Queens College determined that it was in the best interests of its students, after consultation with University administration and legal counsel, to relieve Mr. Linsker of teaching duties,” Rodriguez wrote to faculty and students.
Oh, NOW they determine that it may not be the best idea to allow a leftwing extremist commie-pinko revolutionary - oops, my apologies, I meant "a progressive" - carte blanche to poison and indoctrinate young skulls full of mush. What was your first clue, Felix?
“Other faculty has been assigned to teach in Mr. Linsker’s place.”
Whose only difference from Skinhead is that they haven't yet gotten arrested for physically attacking cops with hammers.
Linsker, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, faces a litany of charges including assault in the second degree, riot, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
Police said he was one of a handful of rowdy demonstrators who beat up two cops monitoring protesters on the Brooklyn Bridge December 12th.
I guess the natural exit question is whether or not the Violent Professor will even be tried, and if so, will he ever be convicted, and is so, will CUNY fire him or just grant him a "leave of absence". I wish that question were much more than rhetorical.
Although he is white, so justice may still be within the realm of possibility, if just barely.
