CDC ‘Very Concerned’ U.S. Could See ‘Large Outbreak’ Of Measles

by JASmius

This border security birdcage is running out of room for eight-hundred-pound gorillas, methinks:

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Tom Frieden on Sunday warned that the U.S. could see a "large outbreak" of measles.

Recall that this is the same Tom Frieden who, last fall, uttered the public inanity, "If we ban travel [to the U.S.] from West Africa, ebola will spread across continent."  I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that one.  So I think we can be forgiven for not rendering too overly much credibility to anything this [BLEEP]ing dumbass has to say about Barack Obama's latest imported epidemic.

Frieden, naturally, attributes this measles outbreak to superstitious parents whose paranoia caused them to fear vaccinations like people in the middle of the last century feared clandestine flouridation of public drinking water:

"We are very concerned by the growing number of people who are susceptible to measles, and the possibility that we could have a large outbreak in this country as a result," Frieden said on CBS's Face the Nation.

There are at least 102 reported cases in fourteen states, according to the CDC. Frieden said that the U.S. is "likely to see more cases."

But he said the best way to prevent the spread of measles was vaccination.

Frieden said despite the U.S.'s 92% vaccination rate, there is growing evidence more parents are not vaccinating their children.

"What we’ve seen is, as over the last few years, a small but growing number of people, have not been vaccinated. That number is building up among young adults in society, and that makes us vulnerable," he said.

Thus smearing parents and building the case for why the state must "step in" for "the good of the children" and "protect" them from their parents' "neglect" and "primitive backwardness," or whatever.

But what's that old saying?  "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".  Measles is another of the diseases that was thought to be extinct in this country, but has now "mysteriously" reappeared in "mysterious" proximity to the hundreds of thousands of illegals pouring across the U.S.-Mexican border over the past few years.  And at least one "top federal health official" - who had better be updating her resume - is willing to acknowledge this latest eight-hundred-pound gorilla:

Many have speculated, but now a top federal health official is confirming that the outbreak of measles traced to several Disney theme parks was likely caused by a foreign visitor or an American who had recently returned from a trip outside the country.

For weeks authorities have been tracing cases of measles that have turned up in several western states. The one common factor in most cases was that sufferers attended one of several Disney theme parks in California or were close to someone who did.

Some had speculated that the measles had come from an illegal immigrant or foreign visitor and now a health official is confirming the likelihood of that speculation.

“We don’t know exactly how this outbreak started but we do think it was likely a person infected with measles overseas,” said Dr. Anne Schuchat of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday.

“We assume that someone got infected with measles overseas, visited Disneyland park, and spread the disease to others,” Schuchat added.

Could be an illegal; could be a "foreign operative," shall we say, sent over here as a "patient zero" to wage biological warfare against the United States.  Perhaps one of many.  Either way, such individuals do not belong here and the federal government has a constitutional duty to protect  American citizens from such contagions and infiltrations.  That Barack Obama has so passionately derelicted that duty is yet another manifestation of the Obama Doctrine:

Because it's just not fair that Americans aren't as poor and disease-ridden and oppressed as the rest of humanity.

Vaccines are great, vaccines are wonderful, and I do not for a moment have a single discouraging word to say about them.  But doesn't nature do a good enough job of coming up with ways to kill us without Barack Obama helping along the process, and punching our ticket to Third World status?
