It's true that Barack Obama didn't order his Secret Service detail to commit assault & battery on this septuagenarian veteran for his "seditious effrontery". But as is so often the case in The Age Of The One, O's minions, inside and outside of the Regime, seem to know what is expected of them, providing him with both the six degrees of separation that protects his PR hide and the luxury of not even having to lift his royal scepter and toss off a diffident "Off with his head!"
It does illustrate the continued high price of "speaking the truth to (total) power, though:

Early in the speech, a protester held up a sign about the attack in Benghazi, Libya, that left U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead. Fellow VFW members ripped the sign out of his hand, and a police officer removed him after the protester shouted “Benghazi” a several times.
Like I continue to caution you, my Tea Party friends: "Fight! Fight! Fight!" as you will, but never forget to count the cost of doing so. For even if we are eventually successful in this uphill, twilight struggle, it will not be cheap.
