Federal Judge Orders Illegal Children Released Immediately

by JASmius

I bet you couldn't tell that the Dishonorable Dolly Gee is an Obama appointee, couldja?:

A U.S. federal judge on Friday ordered the government to swiftly release immigrant children held at detention centers, affirming a July ruling that said some minors who crossed the border illegally were being detained in violation of a long-standing settlement.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee in Los Angeles gave the administration of Barack Obama until October 23rd to comply with her order to release hundreds of unauthorized immigrant children, and in some cases their mothers, "without unnecessary delay."

Yeah, like he'll put up any resistance.  Heck, this is his fig leaf, if he ever wanted one.

Still, it raises the usual rule of law points as well as a practical one.  Yes, these are children, but they've also broken U.S. immigration law, just like their adult counterparts, so by what reasoning should they be released?  They are, by definition, criminals and should remain in detainment.  Treated well, of course - a place to sleep, three squares a day, medical needs met, etc. - but detained nonetheless.

But there's also the matter of to what and where they'd be released.  The Regime has already released illegal children that had a relative already in-country (legally or otherwise).  Presumably the reason the others haven't been is because no such relative is available to take custody of them.  Is Judge Gee really ordering that all of these "undocumented" youngsters be turned loose to ferally fend for themselves as homeless indigents?  And if the answer that came back was, "No, they can go on welfare or into State foster care systems (such a wonderful place for a happy childhood....)," how is that significantly different from where they're being housed now?

And remember, though children, they are law-breakers by definition.  That ought to at least be taken into account.  Doesn't look or sound like Judge Gee is doing that, but rather sticking to her ideologically extreme guns, to these kids' detriment and imperilment.

Seems like they'd be better off returning to their home countries, if you ask me.
