Pope Francis Praises Homosexual Children's Book

by JASmius

The purported leader of "Catholicism," my Catholic friends.  Which obviously means something different to him than it (hopefully) does to all of you:

The children's book Piccolo Uovo, translating to Little Egg, has created a political and religious storm as hippos, kangaroos and rabbits explore different family types, including sodomarriage, the Guardian reports.

The Italian author of the children's book, Francesca Pardi, is being accused [accurately, and quasi-pedophilically] of promoting homosexuality, and while Venice's new mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, banned Pardi's books from shelves, Pope Francis is an unlikely supporter.

According to the Guardian, Pardi, explaining the attacks she has come under in recent months, wrote a heartfelt letter to the pontiff along with a parcel of children's books — many of them dealing with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues.

Because she knew that, in effect, this Pope isn't really Catholic.

"His holiness is grateful for the thoughtful gesture and for the feelings which it evoked, hoping for an always more fruitful activity in the service of young generations and the spread of genuine human and Christian [!!!] values," wrote Peter B. Wells, a senior official at the Vatican secretariat of state in a letter dated July 9th. [emphasis added]

Yes, I am familiar with the admonition that, as believers, we must show Christian love to sinners, because such are we also, and Christ died for ALL sinners, past, present, and future.  I get that.  But the other half of that equation is that we are to hate sin, just as God does, for our sin is the reason that Christ had to die for us in the first place in order to save and redeem us from it.  God, in short, is love, but He is also holy and just.  And yes, homosexuality and all its vile derivatives is sin.

Recall the incident with the adulterous woman:

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.  Early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began to teach them.  The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery [with one of their own, some Bible scholars believe, which would explain why they were able to catch her so easily], and having set her in the center of the court, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act.  Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?”  They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground.  But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”  Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground [the name of the Pharisee who entrapped her, some Bible scholars theorize, which would explain what happens next].  When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court.  Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?”  She said, “No one, LORD.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.” [emphasis added]

He forgave her, in other words, but that very act means there was sin to forgive.  Something that He did not ignore in telling her to "sin no more".  He did NOT say that adultery is a-okay, or that the Mosaic Law was a "living, breathing, evolving" document whose "original meaning" was "obsolete" and "no longer relevant to modern Roman times".  He showed her mercy - because He was shortly to die for the sins she had committed - aimed at bringing about repentance - turning away from and abandoning sin - without which salvation is impossible.

This is not that:

In 2013 the pontiff noted, "If someone is gay and he searches for the LORD and has good will, who am I to judge?"

You're the POPE, that's who.  And if someone is truly searching for the LORD, they will abandon "being gay" and seek out His help in repenting and living for Him in the power of the Holy Spirit.

And we are supposed to help lead them to Him, not condone their sinful "lifestyles" and promulgate the lie that He does and will as well.

It is quite likely (God forbid, but that's up to the "pontiff") that Francis will one day hear these words:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘LORD, LORD,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven will enter.  Many will say to Me on that day, ‘LORD, LORD, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

He - and Miss Pardi - can't say they weren't warned.
