ISIS Is Winning

by JASmius

And why is ISIS winning?  Because we're not really fighting them:

As Americans marked the fourteenth anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks, the country is losing its battle against the Islamic State (ISIS), writes Bruce Hoffman, director of Georgetown University’s Center for Security Studies and a senior fellow at the U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center, at Politico.

He cites metrics such as their having committed more than double the number of terror incidents that kill more than a hundred people than were committed by all groups in the entire twentieth century – when there were only fourteen.  And there are, of course, plenty more, such as their ever-growing ranks of fighters and their ever growing-territory.

But this is the money quote:

"[W]e downsize our military, while the flow of recruits into their ranks continues unabated; our intelligence collection capabilities are diminished, but they more effectively exploit digital and social media to ensure new sources of support and recruits," Hoffman wrote.

And ISIS is made to look like the "strong(er and stronger) horse," Obama's refusal to squash the "jayvee team" like the bugs they are breeding jihadists like, well, flies.

ISIS is winning and we're losing; but it's because that's what this president is choosing to do.

And why is that?

You know why.
