Obama, Kerry, Hillary Throw Open The "Syrian Refugee" Floodgates

by JASmius

First, O decreed that we would take in a modest ten thousand "Syrian refugees".  That was the opening ante, and Mrs. Clinton is wasting no time in trying to shoot the crescent moon:

Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Sunday called for a drastic increase in the number of refugees the U.S. plans to take in.

"You know, look, we're facing the worst refugee crisis since the end of World War II and I think the United States has to do more and I would like to see us move from what is a good start with 10,000 to 65,000 and begin immediately to put into place the mechanisms for vetting the people we would take in, looking to really emphasis some of those who are most vulnerable," Clinton said on CBS's Face the Nation.

I'm not quite sure what's so special about the sixty-five thousand figure; Martin O'Malley was touting the same number.  I guess maybe it focus grouped well or something, but I can't imagine why.

The most likely reason for the Empress jumping into the "Syrian refugee" sweepstakes is because she bears at least a measure of the blame for it as The One's first term Commissar of State.  Which helps explain why she attempted to backfill by claiming that she was urging the training of "Syrian rebels" - you know, one of those "warmongers" on whom her ex-boss tried to blame the failure of that initiative from its ludicrously lilliputian size - i.e., it was designed to fail, and Hillary was intended to be the fall dragon.

But as is Hillary's want, her upped ante was rapidly and massively surpassed by the Obama Regime itself - something they actually care about, and consequently this initiative is far from lilliputian:

The Obama administration will increase the number of refugees allowed into the United States annually to one hundred thousand in 2017, the New York Times reports.

The current limit is seventy thousand, and that would go up to eighty-five thousand in fiscal 2016, then to one hundred thousand annually in 2017, Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday during meetings in Berlin.

Kerry also said he would be looking into ways to expand the number beyond one hundred thousand in later years while still maintaining the "background check process".

i.e. If they have a pulse, they're in.

As with our friends north of the border, proportionally speaking, the best that can be said is that, compared to the Islamic invasion Europe is suffering, it could be a lot worse.  But then the main reason for that is geographical proximity (and German insanity).  "Syrian refugees" can't get to North America unless our government and Canada's proactively bring them here.  That still puts some limitation on how high the numbers can go politically.

Still, by the ten percent rule, that's ten thousand jihadists the White House is going to resettle here in the homeland, on our dime.  Or, put another way, we will be forced to pay to bring our killers to us.

Heckuva deal, huh?
