Lack of funding tops the list of why candidates suspend presidential campaigns. Scott Walker, faced with dropping poll numbers, and a lack of funds, has suspended his campaign for President of the United States.
Of all of the Republican Party candidates, Scott Walker had the most complete resume, the best track record. He, in the blue State of Wisconsin, stood against the labor unions, and applied conservative principles. The State's economy is better off than it has been in a long time. He faced a recall election and survived. But a lack of funding has ended his presidential run very early.
Trump is in decline, and I personally don't trust him. Ben Carson is questionable regarding immigration and the 2nd Amendment. Ted Cruz is a fantastic conservative, but I don't think his rash style makes him presidential material. . . besides, there are questions regarding his eligibility. Rand Paul is the constitutionalist of the crowd, but he has gone off in libertarian directions that have voters nervous. Jeb Bush, Kasich, Pataki, and Chris Christie (and Rubio when it comes to immigration) are way too moderate, and epitomize what it means to be "establishment." Huckabee is too easy of a target, as is Santorum, due to their strategies regarding the social issues. Gilmore, Graham and Jindal will be out of it soon, with numbers so small it is pitiful. It's just a matter of time before they depart. Which leaves us only one candidate that we can really put our support behind, now that Walker is gone. I'm just shocked about who it is. I did not think, after I crunched the numbers, and studied the people, that my best choice would be Carly Fiorina.
Apparently, I am not the only one. Fiorina just shot up to number two behind Trump.
There will be no joy in Mudville, for the mighty Scott Walker has stepped down. But Carly has stepped up to the plate.
