Iran Tests New Precision-Guided Medium-Range Ballistic Missile

by JASmius

I would add something like "in violation of treaty" or "sanctions," or "agreement" or "deal," but there aren't any restrictions on any aspect of Iran's military, strategic or conventional, anymore, so thanks to Barack Obama and John Kerry, this missile that can deliver nuclear warheads to a Tel Aviv near you is completely legit:

Iran has successfully tested a new precision-guided ballistic missile, its defence minister said on Sunday, signalling an apparent advance in Iranian attempts to improve the accuracy of its missile arsenal.

The Islamic Empire has one of the largest missile programmes in the Middle East, despite a United Nations arms embargo....

That The One's nuclear "deal" lifted.

....but its potential effectiveness has been limited by poor accuracy.

State television showed what appeared to be a successful launch of the new missile, named Emad, which will be Iran's first precision-guided weapon with the range to strike its regional arch-enemy Israel.

"The Emad missile is able to strike targets with a high level of precision and completely destroy them...This greatly increases Iran's strategic deterrence capability," Defence Minister Hossein Dehghan said at a televised news conference.

"Deterrence" as in "wiping Israel off the map".

"Our leadership and armed forces are determined to increase our power and this is to promote peace and stability in the region. There is no intention of aggression or threats in this action," he added.

Uh-huh.  Because increasing the power of apocalyptic theocrats who bellow "DEATH TO AMERICA!  DEATH TO ISRAEL!" on a daily basis and want to bring about Armageddon to hasten the return of their "twelfth imam" can lead nowhere else but "peace and stability".

But we've got no say in the matter, because we've given it all up.

Remember in the Road Runner cartoons when a boulder would be about to fall on Wile E. Coyote and he'd hide in a tiny umbrella?  Hold that thought.
