University of Toronto Realizes Hazard of "Transgender" Bathrooms

By Douglas V. Gibbs

As society attempts to justify and normalize people suffering from sexual mental health issues, the impact on society is devastating.  A part of the reason that the United States Constitution functions (or should I say "functioned" since it seems we are in a post-Constitution era) as well as it has is because the Founding Fathers in the writing of the document took special care to address human nature.  Checks and balances exist throughout our system, and the federal government does not have any authority regarding internal State issues for a reason.

In California, "The Bathroom Bill" (Law) continues to be a battle.  At the University of Toronto, having transgender bathrooms proved to be an unmitigated disaster.

The Canadian University was trying to be kind, and fair, and unoffensive to those poor guys who like to dress up in women's undies, and smear lipstick on their face, hoping it would prove that we all live in a utopian world after all.  However, human nature, or should I say the nature of young men, grabbed a hold of the situation by the . . . well, it turns out some young men will do whatever they can to get a peep at a young woman.

I know.  It's shocking.

Shortly after creating gender-neutral bathrooms, the university became aware of two separate incidents of "voyeurism."  Male students were caught holding their cellphones over female students’ shower stalls and filming them as they showered, for example.

“Given the serious nature of these incidents and the impact on directly affected students, we made the decision to specifically designate some washrooms in Whitney Hall for those who identify as men and those who identify as women,” said Melinda Scott, dean of students at the University of Toronto.

The University, however, has only temporarily done away with only a few of the gender-neutral washrooms.  "More than 50% of the washrooms in the residence remain gender-neutral."

The University, in an attempt to remain as "tolerant" as possible, said that it would not be so intolerant as to limit men and women to designated bathrooms. Instead, the latest move is a “temporary measure” to “provide a safe space for the women who have been directly impacted by the incidents of voyeurism and other students who may feel more comfortable in a single gender washroom in the wake of these events.”
