It's not all that newsworthy, actually. Translated into Christian terms, "Orthodox" Jews correspond with evangelical or "fundamentalist" Christians, while "Reform" Jews align with "liberal/mainline" Christian denominations. You know, the ones that are overrun with female and homosexual "pastors" and "ministers" and "priests" who freely and gleefully disregard the portions of Scripture that, so to say, "crimp their style".
And mein Gott, are they enthusiastically getting on the "fluid gender identify" (i.e. mental illness" bandwagon:
Temples and synagogues affiliated with the nation's largest Jewish movement could adopt gender-neutral bathrooms and their rabbis would be encouraged to give sermons on transgender topics, under a groundbreaking resolution expected to pass at a conference of Reform Jews on Thursday.
Those will not be "sermons," because there is nothing on that particular topic to be found anywhere in the Old Testament. Whereas there is this passage from Genesis 1:27: "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Not "shemale" or "butch" or Glenn Quagmire's dad. Because, you see, God does not make mistakes. If He made you male, then you're male, no matter what deceptions have warped your self-image. Ditto if He made you female. If you've inflicted "issues" on yourself, that's not on Him, and I highly doubt He wants to see you surgically and chemically mutilate yourself in pursuit of a lie that is immutably refuted by your twenty-third chromosome pair. And clergy are the last people who should be excusing and encouraging such twisted lunacy.
The proposal features some of the most far-reaching policies for transgenders....seen among any of the nation's mainstream religious organizations, according to advocates for [homosexual] and transgendered [special] rights.
It also has generated little discord within the movement of 1.5 million North America Jews affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism.
No doubt. For it is written, "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."
Reads like today's headlines, doesn't it?
And don't worry, Reform Jews' apostate Christian counterparts aren't far behind:
The Episcopal Church and United Church of Christ also have adopted positions in support of transgender issues but the Reform Jewish movement's policy would go further by listing specific actions to promote inclusion, said Toumayan, manager for the civil rights group's religion and faith program.
Inclusion is fine; ditto outreach. But without repentance and confession of sin, not only is it a waste of time (for their can be no forgiveness without both) but it imports wickedness and error into the Church's midst. And that goes for anybody who does not know Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." But once one admits they're a sinner and cannot save themselves and accepts Christ's cleansing forgiveness purchased with His blood on Calvary's Cross, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me." And through the supernatural power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, He can untangle and purge those "issues" and restore your "self-image" and "gender identity" to the one He gave you.
A blessed deliverance that will never come from not just compromising with evil, but diving in head-first.
"Reform" Judaism and "mainline" "Christiandom" are worthless citadels of the enemy. A source that is all but impossible to consider as they flaunt that wickedness with ever greater enthusiasm.
