ISIS Bombed The Russian Airliner

So concludes the Obama Regime:

A Russian jetliner was downed over the weekend by an on-board bomb, possibly placed in luggage by [the] Islamic State, U.S. intelligence officials told CNN.

Sources told the network they had intercepted communications that point to the Islamic State as the culprit. Investigators believe a 'conventional' bomb was used, planted somewhere on the plane, and that the [jihad]ists took advantage of lax security at the airport to carry out the plan.

The reports come on the heels of Britain and Ireland suspending flights from Sinai, saying concerns about a possible bomb on board led to their decision. The CNN sources say the probe underway points to a bomb in luggage or on someone on the flight.

This is how they roll.  And it usually works - against Western countries.  Against the Russians, it probably means military escalation in Syria.  Not what Caliph al-Baghdadi ordered.

The White House, though, is still under the obstinate misapprehension that Putin is no different from Obama, or at least won't be once he "evolves,"  And they're actually intending to use this attack as "See, we told you so" leverage to push Czar Vlad in that direction:

“If this is indeed a bombing, it will put Western politicians in a difficult position,” said Gowan, with the European Council on Foreign Relations. “On the one hand, this is exactly what the U.S. and its allies had predicted would happen after Russia went into Syria. They will hope that Moscow will be more flexible over Syria after this.”

<sigh>  They don't get it, and they'll never get it.  Putin is not Obama.  Russia is not Obamerikastan.  They're serious, we're not.  And Vlad never leaves the ball in his own court:

But in all likelihood Putin may respond by doubling down militarily and demanding more Western support in a joint war on terror, he said. [emphasis added]

Calling The One's bluff, as it were.  If O turns down Putin's demand, he exposes himself as the jihadi-symp he's always been and his supposed "war" against ISIS as the total fraud it's always been; if he complies with Putin's demand, he's capitulating on his policy, already seriously eroded by the Russian intervention in Syria itself, that Bashar al-Assad "has to go," as well as attaining that objective via a "political solution".

And Red Barry still thinks he has the upper hand in this impasse.

Exit thought: Vlad is going to intensify his Syrian military operations regardless of what President Dither does or does not do; will that not increase the chances of a "misunderstanding" between U.S. and Russian warplanes?
