Another Day, Another Simulated Russian Air Attack

by JASmius

It seems like these "buzzings" are building towards some sort of near-term crescendo, don't they?:

Russia continued ramp[ing] up its dangerous cat-and-mouse game with the United States as one of its MiG-31 [Foxhound interceptor]s flew within fifty feet of an American surveillance jet in Northeast Asia, the Washington Free Beacon reports.

The nerve-rattling incident occurred just one week after a Russian Su-27 [Flanker] flew within fifty feet of an RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft in an "unsafe and unprofessional manner," the [Obam]agon said.

Russia’s latest act of aggression occurred on April 21st as a U.S. Navy P-8 [Poseiden] Maritime Patrol reconnaissance aircraft flew on a routine mission in international airspace.

....in the general vicinity of the Kamchatka Peninsula, as it happens.  Or what the Russians would probably dub "buzzing".

In case you were wondering, the Obama Regime isn't even clucking at these incidents as being "unprofessional" anymore:

Pacific Command spokesperson Commander Dave Benham told the Beacon that in the latest incident, the U.S. plane was "intercepted by a MiG-31 Russian jet in the vicinity of the Kamchatka Peninsula" an an intercept "characterized as safe and professional."

.....and still unprecedentedly aggressive and provocative.  It's almost as if The One is saying, "Spasibo, Vladimir Vladimirovich, mozhet u nas yest' yeshche?"

Exit question: How long until the Russians start just randomly shooting down U.S. planes with impunity?  Does anybody believe at this point that there'd be any response from this White House?
