"Bad People" Revisit Seattle

by JASmius

Or, "how the Emerald City celebrates every communist Christmas":

At least nine protesters were arrested and five police officers injured during May Day clashes in Seattle where flares, bricks and Molotov cocktails were thrown, authorities said.

The anti-capitalist disorder followed a peaceful march earlier in the day by advocates for workers and [alien]s — one of several nationwide events Sunday calling for better wages for workers and work permits for [illegal alien]s.

One officer was struck by a rock, one was hit by a Molotov and a third was bitten, the Seattle Police Department said. The nature of the injuries to the other two officers was not immediately known.

The anti-capitalist demonstrators carried signs including one saying: “We Are Ungovernable.”

Well, they are when the put the work into the task - up until the "lumber shampoos," pepper spray blasts and tasers join the fun, anyway.

Since this is an annual rite in the home of the forty-eighth Lombardi Trophy, local businesses, like Starbucks, prepared for the occasion by literally boarding up ALL their windows - and still it wasn't enough:

Window just busted by masked anarchist. Starbucks on 4th and Pine

Bleated leftwingnut, homosexual Seattle Mayor Ed Murray:

It is unfortunate and deeply regrettable that in a city that goes to incredible lengths to respect First Amendment rights, there are some who disregard our values and engage in senseless acts of violence and property destruction. This city condemns any acts of physical violence against our police officers, and my thoughts are with the officers who were injured.

Well, Seattle also seems to attract "acts of physical violence against police officers" on this particular date on the calendar, so perhaps the lengths to which it goes to "respect the First Amendment rights of those who disregard our values and engage in senseless acts of violence and property destruction" are a wee bit too incredible.

The "celebrations" in San Francisco (where protesters tried and evidently failed to gin up Ferguson-style riots at Fisherman's Wharf) and Los Angeles (with its gigantic Donald Trump piƱata) were "festive" if far more peaceful.

I guess they just weren't trying hard enough.
