Conservatives have to man-up when it comes to race and gender. In 2008, when we discovered the influence Marxists like Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers had on him, Obama made a big platitudinous speech about race. Hey, race wasn't the issue, but we are so ridden by undeserved guilt that we let the lefties change the subject - every time.
Get over it!
America is the most color-blind, pro-women country on Earth. Arguing about it with people who will not look at the evidence or listen to reason is akin to chasing our own tails.
When they pull out the race or gender card, just announce that you have no interest in cheap card tricks and walk away. If they pursue, simply explain that slavery, lynching, "Jim Crow," and Japanese internment were all perpetrated by Democrats. Even today, they will not address the merits of the issue at hand, but instead fixate on contrived racial distractions. Tell them that, if they are looking for racists, they should look in the mirror.
