Political Correctness and the Offended

As a Constitutionalist, my system of beliefs are anchored in the idea that the powers of government must be limited and filled with a system of checks and balances, and that the rule of law is based on the concept that our rights do not come from government, but from our Creator. Change for the sake of change is not always a good thing, and you never try to fix what is not broken, especially when a system like the American System is based on principles proven and tested throughout history. However, despite the success of America as a country as a result of having a limited central government, the innovative concept of State Sovereignty, and the foundation of values derived from a belief in divine Providence, in the United States we are currently faced with an enemy that has historically brought down civilizations and empires, causing those societies to rot from within and collapse upon themselves.

While we attempt to fight the disease of progressive, liberal left, statism through human strategies and tactics, we must remember this is a battle that goes way beyond flesh and blood.  If we are not a virtuous people, all of our efforts are for naught.  If we are willing to completely reject the founding idea that ours is a society first governed by God, then we are destined to lose the republic.  The enemy knows this, and that is why the attacks against the family and morality has been kicked into high gear.

Ours has become a society where the rule of law has been tossed aside, and something worse than the rule of man has replaced it. We now live under the rule of the offended. We are being told that freedom means that anything can happen.  Anything someone wants to do despite our moral code is acceptable. Disagreeing with immoral behaviors is now considered offensive, and therefore the freedoms of those who dare to offend people who wish to live outside a long established moral code are being removed. Opinion against immorality has now become something that can be legally punished.  When religious and political speech is criminalized for daring to offend a bunch of folks who essentially desire to poke God in the eye, those who claim they were offended stand in the camp populated by tyrants and criminals.

The revolution of sexual ambiguity and social upheaval is not a drive for freedom, but a recipe for the enslavement of those who dare question the government and the forces influencing it.
