Terrorist Explosions Reported at Istanbul Airport in Turkey with UPDATE

Reports by the Associated Press are coming in indicating that two explosions have occurred at the Istanbul airport in Turkey.  According to local officials, multiple people have been wounded.  The details about the source of the explosions remain unknown at this time, as well as if there are any casualties.  Local media has also reported the sound of gunfire at the scene.

This attack follows the bombing of a police station less than a week ago.

UPDATE:

Some reports suggest up to 50 people killed, but the official number at this point is 36.

Three suicide bombers opened fire before blowing themselves up at the international terminal of Ataturk Airport, Istanbul.

Several witnesses reported two explosions but authorities believe there may have been three bombers.

It is estimated that about 60 people were wounded. Six of those sustained serious injuries.

Two of the attackers detonated their explosives when police fired at them, according to one official.

The attack happened near the airport entrance - before the assailants would have gone through security checks.
