The drama by pro-Cruz factions to somehow dislodge Trump failed miserably. At this point, any of their efforts here on out will be more about positioning in 2020, than gaining ground at the 2016 Republican National Convention. If Donald Trump wins the presidency, and the military is stronger and the economy is booming, any challenge the anti-Trump crowd may have will be harmless in 2020.
Ben Carson called it all "political theater." The crowd, after the failed bid to change the rules, broke out into a "We want Trump" chant.
Ted Cruz is scheduled to make a speech on Tuesday. Will he continue the nonsense, or say that as a party the Republicans need to coalesce behind Trump if the party is going to have a chance to beat Hillary Clinton in November.
Trump may be a lot of things, but he is not an America-hating collectivist who is appalled by individualism like Hillary Clinton is.
The problem is, the mainstream media that is loyal to the liberal left Democrats will portray what is happening on the convention floor as a sign that the Republican Party is divided, and unable to come together behind Trump.
Ben Carson suggests that the political theater is interesting, but in the end, everything will work out okay.
