Democrat's Vicious Attacks After Trump Announces Pence

The long knives came out by the Democrats after the GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump announced his pick of Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running-mate.  Even more disgusting is that the attacks were ideologically based, defying facts or reality.

The Democrats are normally really good at projecting, and their vicious attacks against Pence is no exception.  Pence is being called extreme, and divisive.  Yet, it has been the Democrat Party's extreme move away from the rule of law, and the principles of the U.S. Constitution, and their divisive attacks against religious speech and anyone who dares to disagree with their policies that have weakened our economy and placed at risk our national security.

The Hillary Clinton campaign in an email (one of the few that haven't been deleted by Hillary) called Pence “the most extreme VP pick in a generation.”

The Clinton campaign particularly pointed out his social issues record, all of which shouldn't even be in the national conversation because each and every one of those issues belong to the States (Tenth Amendment).  They also stepped out of reality in their attacks against his free-market economic policies.

“By picking Mike Pence as his running mate, Donald Trump has doubled down on some of his most disturbing beliefs by choosing an incredibly divisive and unpopular running mate known for supporting discriminatory politics and failed economic policies that favor millionaires and corporations over working families,” John Podesta, chairman of Hillary for America, said in a statement.

Failed economic polices?  Democrat Party economic policies have given us the failures of Greece, Venezuela, the European Union, Detroit, and California.  The prosperity the United States has enjoyed for over two-hundred years were the direct result of free market policies that denied intrusion by the federal government.  Progressivism has been the cause of the recessions, Great Depression, and boom-bust cycles.

While the Democrats acted like a bunch of enraged knuckleheads akin to the violent protesters at Trump Rallies, conservatives praised Trump for his pick.  Pence is conservative, and has experience as an executive since he has been a State's governor.

Podesta called Pence's defense of religious liberties "speech discrimination against the LGBT community." Yet, Podesta doesn't seem to see a problem with the Hitleric style of attacks the gay community is using.  The message by Democrats is "Agree with the homosexual agenda, or we will silence you, sue you, force you into bankruptcy, and if we have our way throw you in jail for daring to disagree with us."

Their wet-dream, I am sure, would be to outlaw Christianity.

Podesta also noted that Pence was one of the voices who led the battle to defund Planned Parenthood.  The Democrats have said if Pence could, he'd totally outlaw abortion.  Again, the extremists of the Democrat Party are foaming at the mouth with their own disgusting policies.  The very fact that Democrats support the wholesale slaughter of the unborn, supported Planned Parenthood even after the organization was caught selling baby parts on the black market, and would allow abortion up to the day of birth if we'd let them, should be enough for people to run away from the Democrats.  Yet, they call Pence extreme for doing what he can to safeguard the lives of persons while they are still in the womb?

Democrats are also challenging Pence for opposing raising the federal minimum wage, lumping that issue into their "failed economic policies" statement. Yet, history and economic models show that a rise in wages induced by dictates by government are harmful to the economy, and actually creates a destructive condition for the middle class.  As minimum wage is raised, with it goes the cost of living.  Eventually, the raise in the minimum wage does nothing economically for the lowest wage earners, but the middle class who did not get a raise in wages has to figure out a way to exist with a higher cost of living.  Also, businesses see wages, and taxes, simply as expenses.  Therefore, to maintain a profit margin they make adjustments.  In fast food, for example, employees are being replaced by kiosks.  In other words, if the cost of having employees is going to go up, to avoid the increased cost businesses are prepared to use technology so that they can maintain their production with less employees involved.  In other words, those screaming for a raise in minimum wage will likely wind up in the unemployment line, forcing our economy to operate with less people in the work force, which means less tax payers, while increasing how much "free" money is going out to the unemployed, and new members of the welfare state.

So, who's economic policies are failed?

Wages naturally rise in a free market when prosperity increases.  Besides, minimum wage jobs are not supposed to be the kind of job you raise a family on.  They are the jobs you get to break into the work-force with.  If you want a raise, move up in the work-force.

A Trump-Pence team dramatically interferes with Hillary Clinton's vision of a socialist America where individualism is squashed and the collectivism attitude of "community first" (which destroys communities in the long run) reigns.  While Podesta called Hillary's vision "one where we are stronger together, where unity prevails over division and the economy works for all Americans, not just those at the top," the reality is that without the ones at the top doing well, there are no jobs, and no product development and manufacturing.  An economic plan hostile to those at the top will fail, and collapse.

Hillary's Tweets were quick after the Pence-pick, reading, "If you had any doubts about Trump sticking with his dangerous plan for America, say hello to his VP pick."

She followed up that nonsense with an even more egregious attack: "Get to know Trump's VP pick, Mike Pence: current governor of Indiana and potential disaster for America."

Or how about this one: "Chip in to keep Donald Trump, Mike Pence, and their extreme agenda out of the White House."

Extreme agenda?  What do you call your agenda, Hillary?

The words that come to mind for me are unconstitutional, un-American, and destructive to the American Dream.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley also took to Twitter to remind the public that Pence had criticized Trump not so long ago for his call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration. Hopefully, Pence has come to his senses on that issue.  As I have said before, during World War II we banned the immigration of Germans, Italians, and Japanese. . . not because we are insensitive or racist, but because we couldn't tell the good from the bad.

The Democrats will tell you that there is no worry.  There are only a very small minority of Muslims who are terrorists.  If that's the case, as Ben Carson so intelligently said, "If you had a big bowl of M&Ms, and you knew that three of them were poisonous, would you eat any of the M&Ms?

Trump's choice of Pence was among the better picks he could make.  He needed to pick a conservative, but one Republicans can stomach.  In the case of Pence, Trump nailed it.  Pence is loved by conservatives, but his time in Congress and as governor of Indiana has enabled him to also earn the respect of most Republican leaders.

"Mike Pence comes from the heart of the conservative movement -- and the heart of America," House Speaker Paul Ryan said in a statement. "I can think of no better choice for our vice-presidential candidate. We need someone who is steady and secure in his principles, someone who can cut through the noise and make a compelling case for conservatism. Mike Pence is that man."

Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin said in a statement that Pence “provides the opportunity to give GOP voters still undecided about Donald Trump a reason to unite and to vote for a more principled ticket.”

Now, let's see if Pence can train Trump to sound more conservative, and no stumble so much.

By the way, for you Democrats and Never-Trump folks who have been suggesting that Trump being the GOP nomination simply ensures a Hillary win, the L.A. Times now also has Trump in the lead.  The Pence-pick may even accelerate that lead across the board.
