Obama Admits Money to Iran was a Ransom

When a shipment of cash on pallets was sent to Iran to the tune of $400 million as four American hostages were being released by Iran, the question arose, "Was the $400 million ransom money?"  Are we making monetary deals with a country that is the number one money machine for terrorism around the world?

President Barack Obama said that the accusation was false.  He insisted that the $400 million was not payment for the release of the American hostages.  “We do not pay ransom. We didn’t here, and we won’t in the future,” the president told reporters.

Families “know we have a policy that we don’t pay ransom. And the notion that we would somehow start now, in this high-profile way, and announce it to the world, even as we’re looking in the faces of other hostage families whose loved ones are being held hostage, and saying to them we don’t pay ransom, defies logic,” Obama added at the time.
He even lectured the press for daring to raise the issue.
Obama lied to the American People.

The State Department admitted Thursday that the United States handed over $400 million in cash to Iran only after Tehran released four American hostages.

The original claim. . . the lie. . . was that the money delivered in stacks of cash aboard an unmarked cargo plane, was part of a settlement of a longstanding dispute with the Iranian regime over a never-completed arms deal from the 1970s.

Hillary lied about her servers.  Obama lied about the ransom payment.  And these are just a few of the lies.

Yet, people think these folks are fit to hold a position of power in the United States Government?

Nixon was nearly impeached, and would have been had he not resigned, for lying to the American people about Watergate.

Bill Clinton was impeached, but survived the hearing, because he lied under oath about having sex with Monica Lewinsky.

What makes the modern Democrat so special?  Since when are they supposed to be above the law, and able to lie on a whim to the American People and to Congress, without any repercussions?
