Shots Fired at JFK Airport, New York

New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport Authorities was under lock down as police investigated reports that shots had been fired.  After searching, and conducting a number of security sweeps, police have given an all clear at JFK.  All terminals searched & cleared. Negative results. All affected terminals will resume operations shortly. No shots were fired.

Witnesses reported hearing two shots fired in terminal 8. No police officers heard the shots.

Police evacuated the area while they searched for a suspect. No injuries have been reported.

Cause of the shots-fired report remains unknown.
