Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris Potential Terror Attack

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The terror in France as the "refugee" numbers continue to increase is now reaching out to landmarks and historical sites.  At the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris an attempt to blow the historical site up was thwarted.  Two people are in custody.  A car was parked near the cathedral with seven gas canisters inside, and its license plates removed.

A local employee of a bar saw the car and reported it.

No detonator or materials that could have been used to ignite the canisters were located in the car, the officials said.

France is on alert after a deadly string of Islamic State attacks and threats against landmarks.
