Approaching the Christmas Presents

Alexya, Camilla, and Ezekiel with St. Nicholas

My wife and I have been married for 32 years.  We've had our ups and downs.  Our two children have had their own ups and downs.  Currently, our daughter lives in a city up the road, and her husband is a member of the Untied States Armed Forces.  She has four beautiful children.  Our son has been married a bit longer, and they have three children.  At this time our son's family lives in our house with us.

The children are excited about tonight.  On Christmas Eve we go to my folk's house, and on Christmas Day it is Mrs. Pistachio's family's turn to have us over.  After we get back tonight the kids in our house will be opening their gifts, with reception of Santa Claus' gifts in the morning.

I am pretty excited about it all.  I love celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, God With Us.  I love sharing the Season with my family.  I enjoy watching the reactions of the children, both young and old, to their gifts when they tear the paper away.  Conversation, reminiscing, and reunions.  It is a fantastic time of the year.

We are Blessed.
